OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM SIR BRANDON LEWIS:
I started a Boys-Only Book Club because I want young Black boys to have the chance to sharpen their reading and grow and feel more confident in themselves. It’s a place for boys in K–5 to connect, build their skills, and feel proud of their progress.
INCREDIBLE ME is more than reading, it’s about togetherness. It’s about brotherhood, confidence, and growth. We read stories that look like us, sound like us, and push us to be better. And we don’t just read — we talk, we connect, and we push each other to be the best version of ourselves. Because when boys believe in themselves, they can change everything.
Reading takes you far. It grows your mind and builds your intelligence. That’s why I started INCREDIBLE ME — so Black boys can read, grow, and dream big.
Sir Brandon Lewis is not just a co-creator — he is the living proof of what INCREDIBLE ME stands for. A Pennsylvania native, former Read 2 Succeed intern, and now a UK-trained soccer player, Brandon embodies the journey from neighborhood classrooms to international soccer fields. His story shows every boy that when you read, you lead.
Brandon brings both visibility and credibility. He makes literacy aspirational — showing that athletes read, leaders read, dreamers read. He turns a stereotype on its head: books and sports are not opposites, they are teammates. Discipline, focus, and faith fuel both.
His presence makes reading relatable, cool, and powerful. He models balance, responsibility, and determination. He proves that sharpening your mind opens the same doors as sharpening your skills. And he demonstrates that true leadership means reaching back — using his platform to lift the boys who will follow him.
With Sir Brandon as the face, INCREDIBLE ME is more than a book club. It is a movement at a critical time in our country — one where boys see themselves as capable, confident, and already incredible.
Brandon is a junior Business Management major at Penn State University, where he has earned Dean’s List honors for FOUR straight semesters and maintains a 3.5 GPA. His studies focus on leadership, management, and communication—skills that translate directly to his growth as a student-athlete and business leader on and off the field.
